The sisters of Sigma Phi Omega are strongly devoted in helping the community. Our official National Philanthropy focus is domestic violence. Every year, a week in October and April is dedicated to help promote our cause. During SAFE Week, we raise funds and awareness throughout our campus. We proudly wear purple to show our dedication and care in stopping abuse in family environment. We have bake sales, seminars, and participate in domestic violence awareness walks held within Long Beach. Our sisters hand-craft purple ribbons and pass them out all over CSULB. 
 
Every October during National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, our sister chapters host  S.A.F.E. Week (Stop Abuse in Family Environments) to educate, inform and raise monetary contributions towards assisting victims of abuse. Donations are always welcome and will be donated to the local Women's Shelter.
